1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using the Million Person Projects website ("the Platform"), participating in any project, or making any financial contribution, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Million Person Projects LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
Million Person Projects is a platform that enables one million people to democratically select and fund infrastructure projects through collective contributions and equal voting rights.
Our Service Includes:
- Facilitating project proposals from participants
- Managing democratic voting processes where each participant has one equal vote
- Collecting financial contributions from participants
- Managing construction of democratically-selected projects
- Providing transparent reporting throughout the project lifecycle
Our Service Does NOT Include:
- Investment opportunities or financial returns
- Guarantees of specific project outcomes
- Refunds after voting commences (see Section 5)
- Individual ownership of completed projects
3. ELIGIBILITY
To participate, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- Not be prohibited from participating under applicable laws
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
Account Requirements:
- One account per person
- Valid email address required
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. PARTICIPANT CONTRIBUTIONS
Financial Contributions:
- Contributions are donations, not investments
- You receive no financial return or equity interest
- Contributions are non-refundable once voting begins (see Section 5)
- All contribution amounts are stated in US Dollars
- Payment processing fees may apply
Contribution Limits:
- Minimum contribution: As stated for each project (typically $5-$10)
- Maximum contribution: One contribution per project per person
- No person may contribute on behalf of another
- All contributions must come from legal sources
Tax Considerations:
- Contributions may or may not be tax-deductible (consult your tax advisor)
- We do not provide tax advice
- You are responsible for your own tax obligations
5. REFUND POLICY
Before Voting Begins:
- Full refunds available upon request until voting period opens
- Refunds processed within 14 business days
- Original payment method will be credited
After Voting Begins:
- All contributions are final and non-refundable
- This ensures project integrity and prevents vote manipulation
- Exception: Refunds may be issued if the selected project cannot be completed for reasons beyond our control
Project Cancellation:
- If no project receives majority approval, full refunds issued
- If selected project becomes legally impossible, full refunds issued
- If project costs less than raised funds, excess may be refunded or applied to future projects as voted by participants
6. DEMOCRATIC VOTING PROCESS
Voting Rights:
- Each participant receives one vote per contribution
- Votes are equal; no weighted voting
- Voting is anonymous to protect participant privacy
- Vote buying, selling, or coercion is strictly prohibited
Project Selection:
- Projects are proposed by participants through the submission process
- AI-assisted evaluation ensures feasibility and legality
- Final selection determined by democratic majority vote
- Voting periods and procedures announced in advance
Vote Integrity:
- We employ security measures to prevent fraud and manipulation
- Suspicious activity may result in account suspension
- Disputes resolved according to Section 12
7. PROJECT PROPOSALS AND SUBMISSIONS
Submission Rights:
- Any participant may submit project proposals
- Proposals must meet eligibility criteria (legal, feasible, budget-appropriate)
- We reserve the right to reject proposals that violate these Terms
Proposal Requirements:
- Detailed project description
- Estimated budget breakdown
- Location and timeline information
- Compliance with all applicable laws
Intellectual Property in Proposals:
- You retain ownership of your submitted proposals
- By submitting, you grant us license to display, evaluate, and potentially execute your proposal
- If your project is selected, additional terms may apply
8. PROJECT EXECUTION
Our Responsibilities:
- Contract with qualified contractors for selected projects
- Provide regular progress updates and financial transparency
- Complete projects according to approved specifications and budgets
- Document project completion
Limitations:
- Construction timelines are estimates; delays may occur
- Final project may vary from proposal due to technical or legal requirements
- We are not liable for construction defects (see Section 10)
- Completed projects become public infrastructure
Transparency:
- All financial transactions publicly documented
- Regular progress reports provided
- Participants may request additional information
9. PARTICIPANT RECOGNITION
Digital Recognition:
- Participant names listed on website for posterity
- Recognition is optional; you may remain anonymous
- Name changes or removal requests honored within reasonable time
Physical Recognition:
- Depending on project, physical plaques or listings may be included
- No guarantee of physical recognition for all projects
- Format and extent determined by project design
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Million Person Projects LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you contributed
- We are not liable for construction defects, contractor errors, or project delays
- We are not responsible for projects becoming obsolete or unused after completion
You Participate At Your Own Risk:
- No guarantee of specific project outcomes
- Democratic process may select projects you disagree with
- Construction inherently involves risks and uncertainties
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Our Content:
- The Platform, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Million Person Projects LLC
- Protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without permission
User Content:
- You retain ownership of content you submit (proposals, comments, etc.)
- By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content
- You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit content
Trademarks:
- "Million Person Projects," our logos, and related marks are our trademarks
- May not be used without express written permission
12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Informal Resolution:
Binding Arbitration:
- If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
- Arbitration conducted under the American Arbitration Association rules
- Individual arbitration only; no class actions

- Essential communications (voting notices, project updates) cannot be opted out while participating
15. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
Our Right to Modify:
- We may update these Terms at any time
- Material changes will be announced via email and Platform notice
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
Your Options:
- If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account
- Termination does not entitle you to refunds for completed votes
16. TERMINATION
We May Terminate:
- Your account for Terms violations
- The Platform at any time (with appropriate notice and refunds)
- Your participation in specific projects for cause
You May Terminate:
- Your account at any time
- Subject to no-refund policy after voting begins
Effect of Termination:
- Access to Platform immediately ceased
- Outstanding contributions remain committed to ongoing projects
- Recognition remains on website unless removal requested
17. DISCLAIMERS
NO WARRANTIES:
- Platform provided "as is" and "as available"
- No warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We do not guarantee specific project outcomes
THIRD PARTY SERVICES:
- Platform may link to third-party services
- We are not responsible for third-party content or services
- Third-party terms apply to their services
18. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Million Person Projects LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of others
- Your submitted content or proposals
19. FORCE MAJEURE
We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

- War, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Government actions or regulations
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Technical failures beyond our control
20. MISCELLANEOUS
Entire Agreement:

No Waiver:
